Welcome to the Kati Keksi monthly newsletter, bringing together the latest content from the Kati Keksi website as well as highlights from social media including Facebook and Instagram. β Hey there! I'm sure you're feeling it too, but wow, March is over. How did that happen? I've had a really mixed month personally, around mid-March I got a virus, what I thought was just a cold but it still hasn't left me. I'm still sick! I'm on day 14 with a lingering cough and a lot of fatigue. I was meant to go out for lunch on the weekend to a nice venue in the CBD but I decided to postpone. While I could physically get there, I knew that I wasn't well enough to properly enjoy the experience. β Everything in April It's really interesting how Easter changes the date every year and how it can end up converging with other public holidays like Anzac Day. The school holidays are booked in around Easter, with the first term stretched or shortened to make it fit. But we also have birthdays in our family in Easter, So April is going to be a very busy month for me. To the point that I'm already telling friends I'll get back to them in a couple of weeks π Despite being sick I've still managed to get a few things done, like preparations for my daughters birthday. I've designed a reading nook and built it with help from my dad, and on Monday I was making a cushion to match the space. Thankfully I won't be doing much baking, I've ordered a birthday cake from a local GF baker here in Melbourne. β Coeliac Awareness Week Coeliac Awareness Week ran from the 15th to the 23rd of March this year. There was quite a bit of activity for CAW this year which was great to see. I love seeing creators on Instagram sharing their stories and experiences as a coeliac. I didn't make any specific CAW posts but I did share some pretty great new products that week, so I'll say I did my bit for the coeliac community. π You can see those in the article below and on my latest Instagram reel. β The Easter egg guide Of course you've seen my Easter egg guide already, but I thought I'd give a quick update on how it's performing. So far it's had just over 9,000 visits which is great! My article on new gluten-free Easter eggs for this year has also had a bit over 6,000 visits. π This makes me really happy because a lot of those visits are from search engines like Google. That means friends and relatives of gluten-free folks are looking up and finding great options to give to their loved ones. It also means there's not going to be any disappointment at Easter celebrations from somebody receiving an Easter treat that's not suitable for them. I'm hoping to share my guide to some Facebook groups over the next week or so. I already tried in one but it wasn't accepted as a post and I wasn't given feedback, but that's ok! If you're in a Facebook group and you think it's going to be useful for them to see, please feel free to post it. Or share the post that's pinned at the top of my Facebook page. Oh and thank you to the folks who have been mentioning me in their comments on FB groups! I'm not in every group, but I do get some notifications and my friends send me screenshots from groups I haven't joined. β I'll sign off wishing you all good health, in the hope I get some myself! β Latest posts on katikeksi.comβNot up to date with the website?
