Welcome to the Kati Keksi monthly newsletter, bringing together the latest content from the Kati Keksi website as well as highlights from social media including Facebook and Instagram. Hey there, It's a nice change to be feeling calm and relaxed as I draft this newsletter. In some mail outs I've been really flustered and had a rant. I'm sure it makes for good reading though, and it's cathartic for me. 😅 Inching closer to Easter For me day to day, I am absolutely hurtling towards Easter. It's a busy time of year to get content out, along with a family birthday thrown in the holiday break as well. But what's inching? My Easter content. Namely my gluten free Easter egg guide. As I mentioned in last month's newsletter, so much of how social media works is out of your control. You put out your content and just hope it lands. The same can be said for a website. The algorithms that underpin search engines like Google are constantly evolving. Rankings (the order of links on the search results page) change all the time. So while most years my guide has been the second or third result for "gluten free Easter eggs" this year it's not there at all. Close but not quite enough Instead, it's a mix. An allergy safe store selling chocolate (Happy Tummies, an affiliate) a GF Easter eggs article from a company that isn't as thorough and a few of my old articles (somewhat good). I say somewhat good because last year's Easter egg guide just isn't up to date. It doesn't show all the new gluten free Easter egg options for 2026, and it doesn't acknowledge the options that are no longer available. Side note: I wrote this newsletter intro four days ago. The rankings have already changed since then. This is how in flux results can be. My articles sit at positions 1, 3, and 8. Of course, 8 is the current guide, still room to improve! Or a chance it'll disappear again. 😬 Sharing is caring As always, thank you to everyone who shares my posts or comments on pages recommending me. 🙏🏼 I'm not in every group but I see so many of them. The best photo I received last year was a community Facebook group for somewhere like Lilydale (outer Easter suburbs of Melbourne). Someone asked about Easter eggs for a coeliac friend and another person replied with my guide. A friend of mine saw it, took a screen grab and sent it to me. I'm Lilydale-famous! How to promote the guide The best way to promote is using the share function on Facebook and select a relevant group you're in (or a friend to send it to on Whatsapp or Messenger). I don't need a hundred people sharing my guide. I need one person per group who genuinely appreciated it to use that function and say, "hey, this was great." Because the worst comment I got last year from someone was, "Oh, I didn't realise you had an Easter guide. lol." 🫠🫠🫠 The message wasn't from the most tactful person ever but it still stung. I'd worked really hard to promote it and yet people still didn't know it even existed? Ooft. If you're keen to share the post your local group thank you! If you're not, no worries! But do share it with your family so that you definitely get a good GF chocolate on Easter Sunday. 👌 Here's a link to the guide that's best suited for sharing. Wow, that was a long story for me to say please help me out if you can. :) Coming up for Kati I am excited to say that this year I will actually take a holiday. I've got two short trips booked so far. One for March and one for April. I'm looking forward to trying out some new food venues and revisiting some familiar ones. With any luck I'll also meet up with some other GF foodies and friends at the same time. If you're wondering where, keep an eye on my Instagram stories. I'll be canvassing for recommendations over the next week or so. Kati x P.s. Does anyone use Reddit? There's a gluten free subreddit for Australia but it's super quiet. I'm not the mod, but I am (almost) the only one posting. Come say hi! Or upvote or whatever they do there. 😁 Latest posts on katikeksi.comNot up to date with the website? Here's what I've been talking about this month. RaiCin, raisin cinnamon spreadWhat if you could turn any bread into raisin toast? That's exactly what RaiCin can do. Check out my review and several other days this spread works (especially with cheese).

Gluten Free Dubai ChocolateI've been sitting on this idea for months and I finally made it. I wasn't convinced when I tried it on the day. But after I recovered from a day of recipe testing I can hand on my heart say it is delicious.

Article from the archiveDid you know I started my website back in January 2022? There are so many articles, including recipes to try at home. Here's one I picked for you. Lohikeitto, Finnish salmon soupThis is a soup that is so easy, yet absolutely delicious. Perfect for Lent and as we head towards the cooler months. This soup comes together with just a few ingredients - salmon, potatoes, carrots and cream. And dill - if you like it. 😉
